Language and culture are inextricably linked, shaping identities, communication patterns, and social practices. The historical and contemporary interactions between India and Iran provide a rich context to examine the mutual influences and shared linguistic-cultural heritage. This study aims to explore how language acts as a conduit for cultural exchange and identity formation between these two regions. A qualitative research methodology was employed, involving comparative linguistic analysis, textual studies of Indo-Persian literature, and interviews with bilingual speakers from both India and Iran. The study focuses on lexical borrowings, syntactic influences, and culturally embedded expressions in daily communication. Findings reveal a dynamic interplay of language and culture, where Persian has historically influenced regional Indian languages, particularly Urdu and Hindi, and contemporary cultural exchanges continue to shape multilingual practices. Patterns of linguistic adaptation reflect both historical ties and modern diasporic identities, highlighting the resilience and evolution of cultural narratives through language. The study underscores the importance of viewing language not merely as a communication tool but as a cultural repository that preserves and transmits collective identity. The Indo-Iranian case demonstrates how cross-cultural interactions enrich linguistic landscapes and foster intercultural understanding. These insights have implications for language teaching, cultural preservation, and comparative literary studies.
